This week we have been working on some mahi for Te Wiki o te Reo Māori. Our theme was kai. If we finished we could do Nga Tae – colours. Here is my mahi.

This week we visited with Shanna and Harold in the Life Education Caravan. We learnt about feelings and how they impact how we act.

As part of our Eco Warrior work we created some art based on the kotuku bird in the story of Te Tino o Te Taiamai.  We visited the site and heard Matua Ken share the story with us.

To make our kotuku art we had to practice our drawing of them first before we created our art work.  We then used cold colours to create the background for our kotuku birds and then used warm colours for their footprints.
